Rules for publishing scientific journals
in the Publishing House of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business
Scientific journals published by the Publishing House of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business operate in accordance with the Press Law of January 26, 1984 (Journal of Laws 1984, No. 5, item 24, as amended) and have as their primary task the dissemination of the results of scientific research in a given scientific discipline, which defines the thematic scope of the journal.
The following general rules apply when publishing scientific journals:
I. RECENTLY
- The recruitment and review of articles is carried out through the Review article recruitment and review system.
- Pre-selection of articles is done by the secretary, the editor-in-chief and the subject editor.
- The review of articles is made on the review form used at the Publishing House of WUEB.
- The reviewer of an article published in a scientific journal is an independent academician from the scientific and research area that is the subject of the publication (in justified situations, it is allowed to deviate from this rule).
- There is no conflict of interest between the author of the article and the reviewer, which is considered direct personal relationships (kinship, legal ties, conflict), relationships of professional subordination, direct scientific cooperation in the past two years.
- The article is evaluated by two independent reviewers.
- A review is considered negative when the article received a failing grade in at least one of the following three evaluation criteria:
- research methods used,
- content level,
- Selection and use of subject literature.
- Publication of the article is conditional on two positive reviews
- In justified cases, the article may be referred for a third review – when two previous reviews at least in one of the following evaluation criteria:
- research methods used,
- content level,
- selection and use of subject literature
- The final decision on acceptance, rejection or referral of an article for a third review is made by the editor-in-chief of the journal, and relevant explanations are submitted to the editor-in-chief of the Publishing House.
- The names of the reviewers of an article included in a scientific journal are not known to the persons concerned (the author).
- The list of reviewers of a given journal is included in the last issue of the journal in a given year.
II. FINANCING
- Scientific journals published by the Publishing House of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business are financed or co-financed by the university.
- The authors do not receive a fee for writing the article.
- Authors pay a fee for the publication of the article in accordance with the order of the Rector of the Wroclaw University of Economics on the rates in force in the Publishing House.
III. FORMAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL PRINCIPLES
- The author submitting an article to the journal hereby consents to its publication under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
- The volume of the scientific article must not be less than 0.5 acres. and no more than 0.8 arcs. issue.
- In a single issue of a scientific journal, authors who are not employees of the Wroclaw University of Economics & Business cannot dominate among authors affiliated with the same university.
- As part of the promotion of the journal, the Publisher sends 20 copies of the journal in question free of charge to scientific institutions designated by the editor-in-chief of the journal.
- The scientific journal has a Scientific Council – a consultative and advisory body – and an Editorial Committee.
- The Editorial Committee of a scientific journal is appointed by the Rector of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business on the proposal of the Editor-in-Chief of the Publishing House of WUEB.
- The Editorial Committee is appointed for the term of the rectoral authorities.
- The position of editor-in-chief has a term of office.
- The composition of the Editorial Committee is included in each issue of the respective scientific journal.
- Meetings of the Editorial Committee are held at least once a year and are convened by the editor-in-chief of the journal. Editorial Committee meetings may be attended by members of the Scientific Council.
- Meetings of the Editorial Committee are attended by the Editor-in-Chief of the Publishing House.
- The Editorial Committee cooperates with the Editor-in-Chief of the Publishing House in day-to-day matters related to the publication of the journal.
