The publishing process covers all stages from submission of a manuscript to its publication and availability to readers. The individual activities are carried out in cooperation between authors, academic editors and the Publishing House. <\/p>\n\n
A publication can be produced by the Publishing House of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business only if it has first been included in the University\u2019s publishing plan for the given year.<\/p>\n\n
The publishing plan covers scholarly, teaching and popular science publications scheduled for production in a given calendar year.<\/p>\n\n
Publications may be referred to the further stages of the publishing process once they have been included in the current publishing plan and a source of financing has been secured.<\/p>\n\n
The author or academic editor submits to the Publishing House a complete set of materials necessary to commence the publishing procedure, including the manuscript, graphic materials and required documents.<\/p>\n\n
The submitted materials should meet the formal, technical and editorial requirements applicable at the Publishing House. <\/p>\n\n

After the materials have been submitted, the manuscript undergoes formal verification, including assessment of the completeness of the documentation and the work\u2019s compliance with the requirements applicable at the Publishing House.<\/p>\n\n
At this stage, an originality analysis of the text is also carried out using the iThenticate anti-plagiarism system. The purpose of the analysis is to identify textual similarities and support assessment of the work\u2019s compliance with the principles of research integrity. <\/p>\n\n
If irregularities are identified, the author or academic editor may be asked to provide explanations or make the necessary changes before the manuscript is referred to the further stages of the publishing process.<\/p>\n\n
Scholarly publications are subject to independent substantive assessment by reviewers whose expertise corresponds to the subject matter of the publication.<\/p>\n\n
The purpose of peer review is to assess the scholarly value of the manuscript, its methodological correctness, originality and contribution to the development of the relevant academic discipline. <\/p>\n\n

After receiving the reviews, the author or academic editor analyses the reviewers\u2019 comments and prepares a revised version of the manuscript.<\/p>\n\n
Together with the revised text, a response to the review is submitted, containing information on how individual comments have been addressed. In justified cases, the revised version may be submitted for reassessment by the reviewer. <\/p>\n\n
After the peer review procedure has been completed and a decision has been made to accept the manuscript for publication, a publishing contract is concluded.<\/p>\n\n
The contract sets out the rights and obligations of the parties, the rules governing publication, and the terms and conditions under which the Publisher may use the work.<\/p>\n\n
The manuscript is subject to editorial and technical processing, which includes checking for linguistic, formal and editorial accuracy.<\/p>\n\n
At this stage, cover designs and the graphic preparation of the publication are also developed.<\/p>\n\n
The text is then typeset and versions intended for electronic publication and, depending on the publishing model, for print are prepared.<\/p>\n\n
Before publication, the author or academic editor receives the text for author\u2019s proof revision and approval of the final version.<\/p>\n\n
After the publishing work has been completed, the publication is assigned the appropriate identifiers, in particular an ISBN and a DOI, if provided for that type of publication.<\/p>\n\n
The publication is then made available in accordance with the adopted publishing model and the rules on distribution, archiving and access in force at the Publishing House.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
