The Publishing House of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business ensures the broadest possible accessibility of publications, their identifiability and the long-term preservation of the University’s scholarly output.
The National Library is responsible for the long-term archiving of the publisher’s publications; it collects and archives all publications issued in Poland. The principles governing the National Library’s collection-building are set out in this document.
Book Publications
Publications issued by the Publishing House are archived and made available in accordance with the adopted publishing model.
Electronic publications and open-access publications are deposited in the Lower Silesian Digital Library; selected publications are also made available via the Library of Science.
Academic Journals
Articles published in academic journals issued by the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business are archived on the University’s academic journal platform based on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) system.
Depending on the policy of the individual journal, articles may additionally be made available in national and international databases and scholarly repositories.
Academic journals are published in open access, and their permanent archive is made available to everyone by the National Library through the Polona service.
Legal Deposit Copies
Publications subject to the legal deposit requirement are submitted to the National Library and other libraries authorised to receive them in accordance with applicable law.
On the basis of the legal deposit copies, the National Library maintains a permanent archive of publications by WUEB Publishing House.
Persistent Identification of Publications
To ensure persistent identification, citability and long-term availability, publications are assigned ISBN numbers and DOI identifiers if these are provided for the given type of publication.
